Barbel, the Managing Director of futures Upfront, is committed to contributing to the not for profit sector. She has voluntarily been involved in causes, projects, initiatives and as a Director on Boards of Governance for many years.
Currently her main pro bono focus is as a Board member with two organisations:
- Diversity and Disability Alliance (DDAlliance) is a recently established user led disability support organisation, run by and for people with disability from diverse backgrounds with the support of families and allies. DDAlliance assists people to live the lives they choose as an independent, collective voice committed to diversity and full inclusion.
Barbel is a founding member and the current Public Officer
- Holdsworth Community, is an organisation very much part of its community aiming to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families and the community as a whole.
Barbel is a Director with a focus on making Holdsworth’s defining value statement – A Happy
Life – measurable. She has been working with staff to develop and trial tools and ideas to engage with people in conversations and actions leading to a happier life.
